The National featured Amir Kolahzadeh, managing director of ITSEC, in an in-depth article on the UAE's growing cybersecurity skills crisis.

Kolahzadeh told The National that 85 percent of UAE residents are online, making the country a high-value target for cybercriminals. "The UAE is a major target because of its glamour and vision," he said.

The article highlighted the regional cybersecurity workforce gap, noting Cisco's projection that the global shortage of security professionals would reach 1.5 million by 2019, and stressed the urgent need for UAE-based investment in homegrown cyber talent and training programs.

The piece also covered ITSEC's work helping organizations strengthen resilience against increasingly sophisticated attacks targeting the region's digital infrastructure and knowledge-economy ambitions.
